From Your Pastor

The most important thing in the world, to the world, is LIFE. In one of our most famous historical documents, one upon which our country was founded, was the promise of the protection of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is the reason why we are building: We are BUILDING FOR LIFE!
You and I know that real living is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are not building because of the people who already come to our church; we are building for the people who God loves and wants to bring to our church and find LIFE! And when they find life, they will discover liberty and then their whole lives through a relationship with Jesus Christ will be a pursuit of happiness.
Throughout the whole Bible, the message is clear: God loves people.
Jesus died for people, and Jesus is coming again to claim His people. Why?
Because He wants to give them life-----life that is abundant here and eternally perfect with Him in Heaven. So, we are building to provide and environment where all this can happen.
Our church has experienced great growth in the past few years. However, we have not yet experienced or enjoyed all that God has for us. This is why we are building. We want God’s best!! After much prayer and consideration, we are being called by God to meet the challenge to build for life.
So, we are building. We are building to provide modern children’s facilities as well as excellent youth and preschool facilities. We are building to make space for all adults from our youngest families to our oldest families. We are building a much safer and more accessible facility, including elevators and handicapped accessible restrooms. Our new building will have enough worship, education, fellowship and parking space for approximately 500 people.
In this facility we will witness God bringing salvation to lost people, training disciples of Jesus, restoring marriages, strengthening families and setting people free to see Him “Do exceeding abundantly above anything that we could ever ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20)
I know that the best days for First Baptist Church are in her future. I am personally glad that our futures are joined together through First Baptist Church and that our future together is as bright as the Son! Please pray about what God wants to do in you and through you in this miracle.
What is it that God wants to give through you, and how does God want to bless the generations that come after you through your gift? We cannot all give the same amount, but we can all make the same sacrifice. Please know that I am praying for you to understand the wonderful ways that God will work through you to see this vision become a reality.
